After every export, Meticulous re-opens the file it just produced and checks for itself that it is clean. If it cannot certify it, it refuses — and tells you.
Text re-extraction
The redacted text is re-extracted from the output file: the sensitive values are gone. A black box leaves the text readable underneath; we remove it from the stream.
Re-OCR & re-scan QR
The redacted zones are re-OCR’d and the QR codes re-decoded on the output: no IBAN, no amount survives in an image or a code.
Face re-detection
The output is re-scanned: any face still detectable outside the kept zones fails the certification.
Honest refusal
When in doubt, the tool NEVER certifies “clean” by mistake: it marks the file un-certified and sends you back to review. The proof does not lie.
